Terms and conditions for the commerce partner have been announced

The Ministry of Environment is reopening selection of the commerce partner, which will become a host of the café and souvenir shop operating in the Lithuanian pavilion in Dubai during the world exhibition “EXPO 2020”.

Selected operator will be responsible for performance of café-bar and trade of Lithuanian products (souvenirs) in the pavilion, during the “EXPO 2020” (the exhibition because of COVID 19 pandemic was postponed for a year last year and will now take place from 1st of October to 31st of March next year). The operator’s activities will have to meet the requirements of the world exhibition and the direction chosen by the Lithuanian pavilion: to suitably and modernly represent our national cuisine and high-quality products made in Lithuania. Winners will have to carry out all activities during the exhibition in the premises installed in the Lithuanian pavilion at their own expense and responsibility.

Submitted projects will be evaluated by the inter-institutional coordination commission of Lithuania’s preparation for participation in the world exhibition “EXPO 2020”. Recently it approved the updated selection conditions and after receiving and evaluating proposals, will recommend to the Ministry of Environment the company with the highest score, to set up a cooperation agreement. If the received proposals will appear to have significant advantages or disadvantages in one of the areas of cooperation (proposals for trade and catering will be evaluated separately), the commission will be able to advise to the ministry to conclude two separate agreements: one for cooperation in organizing activities in the cafe-bar installed in the pavilion, other on trade of in Lithuanian products and souvenirs.

Application will be open till 10 a.m. of 29th of March 2021.
